Our 50th Reunion -- June 24-15, 2011

At our Friday evening get-together on June 24, 26 classmates (plus some spouses and friends) enjoyed catching up and reminiscing about old times. Our hosts, Dan and Susan Snyder, provided a delicious assortment of munchies and drinks. We had a great time! Thanks, Dan and Susan!

Prior to the FHS Alumni Dinner on Saturday, June 25, we were welcomed at the home of Dean and Linda Shira in Fredericktown. We enjoyed a grand tour of their beautiful home and a large variety of tasty appetizers. Thanks, Dean and Linda!

Saturday evening, 20 members of our class attended the annual alumni dinner. Also in our group was our senior-year band director Harry Williams and his wife Barbara. He is now retired and lives in Grove City.

After the dinner, we presented our class gift to the FHS Alumni Scholarship Fund. The announced amount of $5,901 was the largest class gift in the school's history, exceeding the record previously held by the Class of 1938.

Later, additional donations raised our gift to a grand total of $6,000! What a fantastic and memorable way to end our 50th reunion weekend!
