 HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC - FARM EQUIPMENT Description:We have an immediate need for 3 temporary experienced Agricultural / Heavy Equipment Mechanics and Equipment Service Technicians to work in and around Fredericktown, Ohio. Though these are currently temporary positions, for the up-coming Harvest Season, there is the possibility one or more of these positions could become permanent, for the right candidate(s). The ideal candidate should have 2+ years experience working on diesel and agricultural equipment such as Kenworth, John Deere and CAT. Mechanics and Technicians will be working on internal equipment; as well as, customer equipment, including combines and tractors from industry leading manufacturers.Typical Equipment:Semi Truck TractorsHeavy Construction EquipmentFarm TractorsCombinesDuties: * Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.* Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing winterization procedures.* Corrects vehicle deficiencies by repairing, and replacing parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics* Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.You must be at least 18 years of age. Prior experience in a truck shop or heavy equipment shop, including engine overhauls is preferred. Welding experience is helpful. Mechanics with strong knowledge and experience repairing heavy equipment in the agricultural, construction, mining and forestry industry will be given preference. Previous computer diagnostic, electrical and hydraulic experience will be considered an asset. Must be willing to take instruction. Must be able to work under strict deadlines and under occasionally stressful situations. Must be able to multi-task. You must be able to commit for the full harvest season, August through approximately December 15, 2015. Heavy Equipment / Crop Production Operator/Assistants We have an immediate need for 6 temporary, experienced, Crop Production Assistants to work in and around Fredericktown, Ohio. Though these are currently temporary positions, for the up-coming Harvest Season, there is the possibility one or more of these positions could become permanent, for the right candidate(s). Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities will be the operation of equipment used in planting, spraying, and harvesting of grain. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have a good understanding of; and experience, with precision equipment/GPS. Only those candidates that can maintain a good attitude and remain flexible need apply. The duties of this position vary with the seasons and the needs of the operation. Potential assignments may include; but are not limited to, loading and unloading of grain cars, utilize computerized system to process data, general housekeeping duties (i.e. - clean equipment and/or buildings), assist operations personnel, maintenance personnel and supervisors as needed. Job Requirements:. Communicate daily with Director of Farming or assigned Supervisor on scheduling and logistics and efficiently perform all tasks assigned. Operate equipment used in production, including but not limited to planter, combine, tillage tool, sprayer, grain cart, and mower . Utilize GIS/GPS technology for efficient task completion and accurate data collection . Observe, understand, and efficiently implement how tools work and how settings may need to be adjusted according to conditions . Drive semi to haul grain from field to elevator . Supply delivery to field (seed, fertilizer, chemicals, etc.) . Maintain the appearance of the farm and of landowner properties . Participate in preventive maintenance and communicate with other personnel as needed to ensure all tasks are completedEducation and Experience: . High School Diploma or GED required . Class A CDL, desired though not required for all positions . Minimum of 2 years crop farm production, agriculture, or ag technician/mechanic experience preferredPhysical Requirements:. Exhibit regular and prompt attendance . Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders. Working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc). Lift (up to) 70 lbs unassisted . Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime if needed . Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed . Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
